The Department maintains scientific relations with the faculties of information technology and cybernetics of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, V.M. Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of the NAS of Ukraine.

In addition, the State University of Telecommunications concluded agreements on scientific and technical cooperation with the following research institutions:

• V.M. Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of NAS of Ukraine (Kyiv);
• Pidstryhach Institute for Applied Problems of Mechanics and Mathematics of the NAS of Ukraine (Lviv).

The scientific work is carried out by the Department in the following areas:

• discrete gaming problems with fuzzy sets for dynamic systems operating in conflicts and uncertainty;
• nonlinear problems of behavior of rods with a natural twist with the use in telecommunications;
• software for telecommunications equipment;
• management of systems with fractional dynamics;
