A delegation from the State University of Information and Communication Technologies (SUICT) took part in the international scientific and technical conference “Security of Modern Information and Communication Systems – SMICS-2025”, hosted by Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. The event brought together leading researchers, academics, and IT professionals from across Ukraine and abroad.
As well as other academic staff members and postgraduate students of the University.
During the official opening ceremony, Professor Volodymyr Shulha, Rector of SUICT, delivered a welcome address to the participants. In his speech, he emphasised the importance of advancing research in cybersecurity and fostering the training of highly qualified IT professionals to meet contemporary challenges.
“The main goal of this conference is to explore the latest achievements and share research outcomes across all aspects of information security, cyber defence, and critical infrastructure protection. It provides an excellent opportunity for scholars and students to showcase their expertise, present their findings, and engage in high-level technological discussions,” noted Professor Shulha.
He also expressed gratitude to the co-organisers, partners, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine for making it possible to hold such academic events, highlighting the importance of developing new approaches to cybersecurity in today’s complex environment.
Throughout the conference, SUICT representatives are taking part in plenary sessions, thematic panels, and section discussions dedicated to digital transformation, cyber defence of critical infrastructure, information systems security, and the role of artificial intelligence in the IT sector.
